 Design
The Biotec sewage treatment plant employs the well proven aerobic biological
process. For the treatment of sewage 3 process stages take place within the
single tank.
Course solids are screened and retained for gradual breakdown
The screened liqour is continuously distributed over plastic media by an
airlift pump operated by a remotely sited blower.
Final settlement of solids takes place. Under normal domestic conditions a
discharge of 20mg/I BOD, 30 mg/I S.S., 20mg/I Ammonia can be achieved.

Applications
Biotec package sewage treatment plants are available in a range extending from
a 4 person household to a population equivalent of 375 persons.
Applications for populations in excess of 375 are catered for with the
installation of multiple units.
